Hey everybody , I’m Carl Britton Jr, and today we’re going talk about how to communicate like it’s 2016!

So later today I’m giving a talk about communicating like it’s 2016, and in this talk we’re going to explore how we communicate today. It’s not how we used to communicate. We used to write letters and talk to people at church and other places like that. Nowadays, we’re texting people or messaging them on Facebook.

You’ve heard me say this a million times: great content is how you can communicate with your patients and your customers like it’s 2016. However, that great content needs to be put on relevant platforms. If you are posting on Myspace, no one in the world is going to see that. Make sure that your great content is on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, on your blog and website. These are all the popular ways that people are communicating today.

Another thing that you can be doing is sending emails. Now emails may seem old school but there are still so many people that are opening and reading your emails! You need to be getting the email addresses of all your patients. Just tell them that you’re updating patient profiles or you send out coupons every month for a different products. The thing with email is that you want to make sure that you’re actually providing value. Give them an incentive to open that email! Do not blast them, and blast them, and blast them and train them to ignore your emails

The hottest way right now to communicate is through video. Do you have content to post on YouTube and Facebook? How about live streaming your videos? Are you going to shoot the video on your iPhone? Are you going to go buy a nice camera? These are all things that you need to decide because video plays a huge part in how we communicate in 2016.
