Hey everybody, I’m Carl Britton Jr and we’re going to talk today about how you should be valuing your community online!
You need to really appreciate those 132 likes that you have on your Facebook page, or the 400 followers you have on Twitter. You need to appreciate them, because those are the people who have purchased from you before. Those are the people who see you as a valuable asset for information.
The #DigitalMarketingScript is not like the most wildly popular Youtube channel out there. I get that and I understand it. However, I do know that I’m creating quality information and people that are consuming it are interested in what I’m talking about and that is what is most important to me. Now, I’m going to guess that seven to ten of those views on my Facebook page are going to be from my mom and my dad, and one of those views is my good friend Casey Davidson. He is also going to like it and probably share it. He’s not my actual target audience, though. However, he has a community of people that he knows; people who are entrepreneurs, business owners, other people that are in charge of social media at their business. He can then share that information with those people, which is very valuable to me.
People get hung up on, “Oh I didn’t get 10,000 views on my YouTube video”. That is okay, as long as the right people are viewing it. Now, we have been shooting this show for over 20 episodes now and have been posting those videos on Facebook. Currently we have about 75,000 views. I know a majority of those views are people that actually care what I’m talking about. They care about what I’m sharing and see value for my content. To me, that is what is most important. Don’t get hung up on, “Oh, I didn’t get 10,000 views”. Only get hung up on, “Am I creating enough quality to bring people back?”
So I appreciate each and every single one of you that have viewed any of the #DigitalMarketingScripts. I 110% appreciate each and every single one. If all the rest of my videos only get 1 view, but it’s from someone who sees value, then I have done my job on the #DigitalMarketingScript. That is what your goal should be with online marketing! Make sure that you are providing quality information that will benefit at least one person.
Thank you so much for joining me today, I’m Carl Britton Jr and I really appreciate you!
