Hey everybody and welcome to #DigitalMarketingScript, I’m Carl Britton Jr and today we’re going to talk about how you can stand out online!
Currently in the United States, there are somewhere around 22,000 independent pharmacies. So how are you going to stand out in the crowd? This idea of making sure that you stand out in a crowd really came to me and was really obvious not too long ago. We had a job listing and it was up for two days and we got 144 applications. 144!!! For just one job!
How did they stand out? What were they doing to make sure that they would catch our attention? Here are a few tips on what you can do to capture that attention!
Number one: pay attention to your audience! They want to hear and see what they are interested in, not what you are interested in. In a job listing, if it says I want “XYZ”, in your cover letter it should say “XYZ”. In a business world, if people are liking, commenting and sharing on these style of posts, make sure that you have a lot of those style of posts.
Number two: be creative and original! Now this doesn’t mean you have to hire a giant creative team, but think of things differently. Try to come up with 10 different ways to say the same thing, and use the that is the funniest, the most clever, the most interesting! Ask people, “Which one of the these do you like the best?” Have your team come up with a different way to say things! Have different ways of saying the things that people are interested in!
Number three: have images and video! The applications and the resumes that I had that had an image or some graphics, really caught my eye! And it’s the same thing on social media! If you have excellent images, excellent videos, you are going to attract people’s attractions! So have excellent videos, excellent images and your content will rock! These are the things that you can do online today to grab some attention!
