#DigitalMarketingScript Episode 24: Quick Tips For The Weekend
Hey everybody and welcome to #DigitalMarketingScript, I’m Carl Britton Jr and today we’re going to talk about three things you can do this weekend to rock your social media!
People want to see you as a human being and not just behind the counter at the pharmacy, or doing your daily routine. They want to see you as a person. Be personal on social media! I know it’s easy to look at social media as a platform for just your business, but when people go in to your store, do you talk to them? Ask them how their day is and try to chat them up? Share with them how you’ve been and what’s been going on? That’s what you need to be doing online!
First thing that you can do is share a family photo or family video. Now this isn’t for everyone because some people like to keep their family private. They don't want to show off everybody on social media, but if you don’t mind sharing a picture of that, share a picture of your family or a video of your family. Maybe a birthday party where your grandma cuts a rug? How about a video of your newborn crawling around? Letting people know you have a family will go a long way!
The second thing you can do this weekend to really rock your social media is share something of personal interest. If you like to go fishing, if you like to go boating, if you like to go camping, if you like to go to car shows, share that! Take pictures of it, take videos of it! Talk about what you’re interested in on a personal level! Personally, I love race cars. I have a Chevelle that I love to fire up and show off! Again, this will go a long way to differentiating yourself from others and help create an online persona that matches you!
The third thing that you can do is document yourself trying something new in your community! Is there a new putt-putt? Is there food truck Friday that’s happening at the park? Is there a new restaurant that you want to go try? Document yourself doing that! Talk about it! @ tag that event! “Hey, we went to Louie’s restaurant” @ tag it! “We’re at 1907 watching the game.” @ tag it! Try something new in your community and share that with your friends and family!
