#DigitalMarketingScript 16: Reimagining Your Content

Coming up with content is not easy, especially if you have to come up with a lot of it. We believe in recreating and reimagining your content. Your blog can turn in to a video, or your video can turn in to a blog. Which then turns in to images. Which then turns in to quote images. Which then turns in to something else and it continues, and it continues and it continues. We call that the circle of life! Lion King taught us that!

I want to give you an example of what we do here on the #DigitalMarketingScript. First, we shoot a video. Then we take that video and we post it on Facebook, and YouTube and all these other places. Then we transcribe the video, and it’s word for word for our subtitles. Then we actually “blogify” it, because I speak like I’m from Oklahoma and sometimes it’s easier for me to speak like this and it doesn’t read as well.  So we blogify it, that goes on our blog. Then we take still images from our video and if I say something profound, which happens once in a lifetime, then we will put that quote over the images and post those. Then we rip the audio from the video and put that on SoundCloud. We get video, blogs, images and a podcast all from one go. That’s maximizing your content amount and that’s what we’re talking about!

The reason why we are doing all of these different, little things is because people consume content differently. If you want to watch our videos, that’s great, thank you. If you want to listen to our podcast  because you’re driving, there you go. If you like to look at our images and maybe it’s an inspiring quote from something and it’s going to tease you in to watching our videos. Then that’s the whole idea! More importantly, not everyone on Facebook is going to be on your Soundcloud or your Instagram followers may never use our blog. By having the same content recreated and reimagined for each platform, we are creating as wide of a net as possible.

What we want to do is provide as much quality, valuable content in a bunch of different formats, so you can consume it how you like to. The beautiful thing about reimagining your content is you only have to do it one time and then you just transform it in to another way of consumption for someone. It’s really makes it awesome because you do the work one time and you can utilize it a lot. The goal is to have one idea and reshape it over however many times needed. Simple as that!

Thank you so much for joining me today on the #DigitalMarketingScript, episode 16! I’m Carl Britton Jr and we want to continue creating valuable content for you!
