Hey everybody, I’m Carl Britton Jr and today we’re going to talk about three easy things that you can do to increase your social media engagement.
First, ask trivia questions! People love trivia. There’s a reason why Jeopardy has been on TV since anyone alive can remember. People love trivia, so ask trivia questions. Make it challenging, or funny, or as easy as you want. Maybe everyone who gets the answer right will also get some “buy one, get one free” coupon or special offer. People love a challenge and they will accept it!
Second, ask people what their favorite things are. What is your favorite cake? What is your favorite restaurant in town? What is your favorite fruit? What is your favorite vegetable? What is your favorite pizza? Whatever you want to ask! People love to let everybody know what their favorite thing is, so ask what people’s favorites are!
Last, ask this or that questions. iPhone or android? Apples or oranges? Watermelon or Honeydew? Give people two choices and you will get a line of comments!
Of course, always keep these as friendly and the least controversial as possible. You might find it funny to ask which Presidential nominee to vote for, but we all know that will only end in a bunch of hate comments. Keep it light and keep it simple. People, for the most part, use social media as a way to have fun, relax and catch up. Take some stress off of them for a moment!
Now this method may not give you the exact engagement that you’re looking for. You may want to say, “Hey come buy my diabetic shoes” or things like that, but it’s going to create an environment where people feel comfortable speaking on your social media, and that is what you really want. So ask those questions and you will increase your engagement!
